The most important thing...know thyself.

Overview

I often remark that coming to work is not really work. It is my art. And as an art, it is a necessary part of me and my life. I recall when I was on maternity leave with my first child, my husband asking when was I going back to work remarking that I was much more balanced and happy when I was working!
Over the years like every practitioner, I have had my ups and downs in practice. Sometimes feeling "on" and seeing incredible results, other times feeling stagnant and down on myself and my skills.
Of course there are many aspects of practice to be considered when it comes to being "successful". I consider successful to mean that one sees as many patients as they want to see, and the results of treatment are generally positive.
After 14 years in practice, I would like to start sharing some of what I've learned in the practice of Chinese Medicine. These tidbits could also probably be applied in the practice of medicine, massage, and other healthcare modalities.
